How does Monahans sand change where a porta potty goes?
Monahans sits in sandhill country, and loose sand changes porta potty placement in 3 ways. Stakes pull out of soft sand, so we strap to a fixed point. Trucks bog in deep sand, so the unit goes near packed caliche. Blowing sand coats seats and vents, so summer sites need more service.
Spring gusts commonly pass 40 mph in March and April dust events. Face the door away from the main wind so sand does not blow in each time it opens. When you can, set the unit in the lee of a trailer or tank battery.
In summer heat of 95–105°F, odor builds faster. We recommend twice-weekly service for crews of 10 or more.
What jobs rent porta potties around Monahans?
Most Monahans rentals serve frac spreads, pipeline right-of-way crews, saltwater disposal sites and service yards on I-20. Ward County sits deep in the Delaware Basin side of the Permian. Town events and church picnics are next. From 100 calls we reviewed company-wide in 2026, 21 were construction or remodel jobs.
Pipeline crews that move every few days do well with a towable job-site trailer unit. Read oilfield and industrial restroom rentals for crew sizing and lease placement tips before the first drop.
Do I need city approval for a porta potty in Monahans?
You need City of Monahans approval before placing a porta potty on a city street, sidewalk or park. On private land or a lease, no city permit is usually needed. Ward County handles county roads. Check 1 week ahead for park events so the approval is ready before delivery day.
Contact the City of Monahans for in-town placement questions. Then text us the approved spot or a pin.

More questions about Porta Potty Rental in Monahans, TX
Monahans is over 50 miles out. Do you really do same-day there?
Yes. Monahans is priced as Zone 2 even at about 55 miles, so same-day delivery is open if you order by 12:00 PM Monday through Saturday. Same-day adds a $75 rush fee per trip. Orders after noon arrive the next morning. Event rentals add a $45 Zone 2 charge per trip.
The sand at our Monahans site is loose. Will the porta potty sink or blow over?
Not if we set it right. In loose sand we look for packed caliche, a board base or the edge of the pad. We stake or strap every unit, and in deep sand we strap to a pipe, fence or trailer. Tell us how soft the ground is before delivery day.
Can you keep up with a frac crew west of Monahans on a monthly rental?
Yes. A standard unit starts at $155 per 28-day cycle, pre-tax, with weekly service. For crews of 10 or more in summer, we recommend twice-weekly service for $60 more per cycle per unit. By our comfort rule, a 30-person crew needs 3 units with weekly service.
Do you deliver to Thorntonville and Wickett too?
Yes. Thorntonville sits right next to Monahans, and Wickett is a short run west on I-20. We price both like Monahans in Zone 2. Pyote and Barstow farther west may price differently, so give us the address or a pin and Jack confirms the zone on the quote.
Can I rent porta potties for a Monahans fall festival or church picnic?
Yes. Plan 1 standard unit per 50 guests for up to 4 hours. Add 1 unit per 100 guests for longer events and 1 per 100 if alcohol is served. Include at least 1 wheelchair-accessible unit. For food, add 1 hand-washing station per 4 toilets. Book at least a week ahead for busy fall weekends.
