How does weekend delivery and pickup work for a party?
Jack Rental Works delivers and picks up Monday through Saturday, 7 AM to 7 PM. Saturday trips have no surcharge. We do not run on Sunday. A Sunday event gets a Saturday drop and a Monday pickup at no extra cost, because an event rental covers up to 3 days on site.
- Pick your event day. Tell us the start time and how long guests will stay.
- We drop the day before. A Saturday party usually gets a Friday drop. A Sunday party gets a Saturday drop.
- Mark the spot. Set a cone, a flag or a chalk X, or text us a photo. You do not need to be home.
- The driver calls ahead. Expect a call or text 30 to 60 minutes before arrival.
- Enjoy the event. The unit is stocked with at least 2 rolls of toilet paper and hand sanitizer.
- We pick up after. Friday drop to Monday pickup still counts as one event rental. Extra days are $20 per standard unit.
Where should the porta potty go at a backyard or park event?
Put the porta potty on flat ground, about 20 to 40 steps from where guests gather. Our crew needs a clear path about 5 feet wide. A standard unit fits through a 48-inch gate. Face the door away from the tables for privacy, and plan a light for any event running after sunset.
- Level ground. Grass, gravel or a driveway edge all work. Avoid soft, freshly watered lawn.
- Privacy. Turn the door toward a fence or hedge, not the dinner table. A side yard is ideal.
- Light. Units have no electric light. Bring a battery lantern or stick an LED puck light inside the door.
- Shade. In summer, face the door away from the afternoon sun to keep the inside cooler.
- Wind. We stake or strap every unit. Tell us if the spot is wide open to the wind.
- Handwashing. Set a hand washing station right beside the toilets, not by the food.

Can I lock a unit in a park, and do I need a permit?
Yes, you can lock it. Jack Rental Works adds a free combination lock on request and texts you the code. On private property, a permit is usually not needed. Placing a unit in a public street, alley or sidewalk generally needs City of Midland approval. Large park events go through the City's special event process.
Locks matter most when we drop on Saturday for a Sunday event in a public park or at a ball field. Without a lock, anyone can use the unit before your guests arrive. Give the code to one or two people only.
For a block party, check with the City of Midland before we set a unit in the street. For a pavilion or field you reserved, ask the park office if they have rules on where outside units can go.
