Rental Terms and Cancellation Policy

These rental terms cover every porta potty, hand-washing station, and restroom trailer rented from Jack Rental Works in Midland, TX. We wrote them short and plain so there are no surprises on the bill.

How and when do you pay?

Jack Rental Works takes card or ACH payment, with no card fee. Event rentals are paid in full at booking. A 28-day rental is paid at delivery for the first cycle, then auto-billed every 28 days. Contractors with an approved Net-30 account are invoiced instead. There is no deposit on any rental.

Every rental starts with a texted, itemized quote. The quote lists the unit, rental length, servicing, delivery and pickup, Texas sales tax of 8.25%, and any extras. No fuel surcharge is ever added.

Charges not on the quote are limited to the items in these terms, such as extra days you request, extra service visits, or damage.

How long does a rental last, and how does renewal work?

An event rental covers up to 3 days on site, and each extra day is billed at the unit's daily rate. A long-term rental runs in 28-day cycles with weekly service included. A 28-day rental renews on its own every 28 days until you ask for pickup. No call is needed to keep a unit.

The 28-day cycle starts on delivery day. Each new cycle is billed at the same unit rate as the first. The one-time delivery and pickup charge applies only once.

See monthly porta potty rentals for how cycles and service days line up.

What is the cancellation policy?

You can cancel for free up to 24 hours before delivery. Inside 24 hours, a $50 trip fee applies. Once the truck has been dispatched, the fee is $75. The rest of what you paid is refunded to the card or account you used. Date changes made at least 24 hours ahead are free if units are open.

Cancel by calling or texting (432) 239-8885. The time of your call or text sets which fee applies.

Who pays for damage, and what does the waiver cover?

Normal wear is free. Fire, vandalism, graffiti, or tipping caused by misuse is billed at repair cost. A lost or stolen unit is billed at replacement value. An optional damage waiver costs $9 per unit per rental or per 28-day cycle. Ask for the waiver on the call so it appears on the quote.

The renter is responsible for the unit while it sits on the renter's site. Tipping from wind after we stake or strap the unit counts as normal risk, not misuse.

A free combination lock is available on request. A lock helps prevent misuse in parks and open lots.

How do you request pickup and stop billing?

Event rentals end on the pickup date set at booking. To end a 28-day rental, call or text (432) 239-8885 and ask for pickup. After the first full 28-day cycle, billing is prorated by the day and stops on the day you ask. The first cycle is billed in full. We pick up Monday through Saturday.

The unit stays the renter's responsibility until our truck loads it. Keep the path clear on pickup day, just like delivery day.

What site access must the renter provide?

The renter must give our truck a path about 10 feet wide to get near the spot, and a clear path about 5 feet wide for the unit. Gates must be open or the codes shared. If the truck cannot deliver because of a blocked path or locked gate, the trip is billed like a dispatched cancellation at $75.

For a lease, ranch, or site with no street address, give the lease name, a GPS pin, and gate directions. There is no lease-road surcharge unless a 4x4 tow is needed to reach the spot.

Our booking-to-pickup guide has the full access checklist.

Who is responsible for where the unit is placed?

The renter chooses and marks the spot, using a cone, flag, chalk X, or a texted photo or pin. The renter must have the property owner's permission. A unit in a public street, alley, or sidewalk in Midland generally needs City approval, which the renter must get. Our driver will not place a unit on unsafe ground.

Unsafe ground includes steep slopes, soft mud, and spots where the unit could tip. In that case, the driver offers the closest safe spot for your OK.

Check street placement rules with the City of Midland before you book. HOA rules on how long a unit can sit in view are the renter's to follow.

Are we liable for damage to lawns, sprinklers, or buried lines?

Our crew takes care with every placement, but Jack Rental Works is not liable for damage to sprinkler heads, drip lines, septic parts, or utility lines that were not marked. Mark every buried item within about 10 feet of the spot and along the path. Marked items are what the crew can steer around.

Normal tire marks on grass and light flattening under the unit are part of placing a unit. They are not damage.

What service access must the renter allow?

A 28-day rental includes 1 service visit each week. The renter must keep the unit reachable by our service truck on service day. If a tech cannot reach the unit, the visit is missed until the next scheduled day, or an extra visit is booked at $65 per unit. Extra or twice-weekly service is billed as quoted.

Keep the same gate codes current with us. Text any code change before the next service day.

What uses are not allowed?

Portable toilets from Jack Rental Works are for human waste and toilet paper only. Never put hazardous waste, chemicals, fuel, oil, paint, drilling fluids, trash, or medical waste in a unit. Cleanup of any prohibited material is billed at cost. Do not move a unit after delivery, except a towable job-site unit made to tow.

Waste from our units goes to a permitted disposal facility. Prohibited material can make a whole load unfit for that facility.
